Miao Attire Innovation

Miao Attire Innovation is a costume design that reinterprets traditional Miao clothing with digital tools. The garments are developed through artificial intelligence pattern generation, digital twin technology and three-dimensional modeling. Three-dimensional printing and eco-friendly fabrics are used in production, which reduces material waste. Each design can be customized in size and detail according to the wearer. Digital imaging combines virtual and real scenes in the fashion photography. The aim is to preserve ethnic dress while supporting sustainable production.

Miao Attire Innovation Cultural Fashion Design by Rufan Lin has been selected as an exceptional illustration of communication design by the A' Design Awards. Miao Attire Innovation Cultural Fashion Design received the Bronze A' Design Award in Costume and Heritage Wear Design in 2025. The A' Costume and Heritage Wear Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design prize that rewards superior design of theatrical costumes, fantasy wear, cosplay gowns, historical clothing, kimonos, saris, dashikis, lederhosen, kilts, hanboks and more.
