Lyra Hearing Aid Glasses

Lyra

Lyra is a pair of hearing aid glasses that joins hearing support with everyday eyewear. A six microphone array captures sound from a selected direction and reduces background noise. A rotatable speaker sits close to the ear canal and provides up to 40 decibels of gain for clearer speech. Adaptive noise reduction and feedback control help in complex sound environments. Lenses can be made for myopia, presbyopia or progressive correction. The intent is to give hearing support a non medical appearance suited to daily use.

Lyra Hearing Aid Glasses by Zhaolin Wu has been identified as a creative example of strategy design by the A' Design Awards. Lyra Hearing Aid Glasses earned the Iron A' Design Award in Eyewear Design in 2026. The A' Eyewear Design Award is a highly prestigious international design prize that recognizes exceptional design of sunglasses, prescription glasses, reading glasses, safety glasses, sports goggles, swim goggles, fashion eyewear, contact lenses and more.
