SS2019 Splash Silicone Rubber Clothing

'Splash' is a collection made of silicone rubber, a versatile material the designer has been using to create her sci-fi ambience concepts since 2014. The designer developed a special molding-casting technology to construct her silicone garments. Flatter Your Body

Flatter Your Body is a womenswear collection of six looks created to suit different body types. The collection reinterprets the corset, a garment that was historically uncomfortable to wear. Each look has a slightly loose silhouette with lacing straps placed around the bust, waist, and hips. Tightening or loosening the straps in selected areas allows the wearer to adjust the shape of the garment. Stripe prints and pleats add an optical illusion that supports the flattering effect. Light wool, cotton, and wool crepe are used for the spring and summer season.

Temperature

Color Change is a garment made from temperature-sensitive materials. The fabric changes color when it meets body heat, sunlight or the warmth of another person. Close contact such as a hug therefore becomes visible on the surface of the clothing. The pattern is cut to highlight the structural lines of the garment, and these lines are closed with adhesive tape. The tape does not react to temperature, so it stays fixed while the surrounding fabric shifts in color. The contrast between the two materials makes hidden changes in warmth easy to see.
